This afternoon Clay, Ana Claire and myself went to Rocking S Farm to meet some friends. Their daughter Anna has a horse and rides. For several months now AC has been talking about horses and riding one. Our friend Sharon invited us out to the farm to watch Anna ride. Suzanne and her daughter Kristy taught Anna to ride. I think I am correct when I say this, it is English style riding. Anna has already been in a couple of shows. We hope to go watch her in a show in a couple of weeks.Anyway, we asked Ana Claire if she would like to ride and she got on the biggest horse they have with Kristy. His nickname is Clifford the big red horse because he is SO big. I believe they said he was 16 or 17 hands tall.What amazed me was not only did Ana Claire actually get on the horse, she let both Kristy and Suzanne hold her. This was an accomplishment in itself. Anyone that really knows Ana Claire knows that she doesn't warm up well to strangers. She went right to them. She even went to help feed the horses with Suzanne without me. I was amazed.We are going to try letting her take lessons starting this Tuesday. She will learn to ride and help take care of a horse. I think it will be good therapy for her just to socialize with Suzanne and Kristy and interact with a horse. Who knows if she will stick with it. She is only 2 1/2 almost 3. She can enjoy it as longs as she wants to. She will start out on a horse named Cloud.
