I have been distracted by several things lately and I haven't had much time for blogging. I hope to catch up with everyone while we are on spring break. During this break I have been able to witness first hand both sides of an adoption. Without going into too many details, I was approached by a young girl that found herself pregnant. Knowing that we had adopted she wanted to know if I could help her find a family for her baby. She approached me several months ago and recently gave birth to her baby. A friend of mine that had adopted from China was the first to come to mind. My friend and her husband were thrilled with the possibility of having another child. I put the two together and left it in God's hands. Their agency counseled her to make sure this was truly what she wanted.
I went to the hospital after she called me to let me know that she had the baby. I am in awe of this young girl's strength and courage. My heart ached for her as I knew she would be leaving the hospital empty handed and my friend would be leaving the hospital with this little miracle. I was so full of emotions as I wanted to be supportive to both sides.
Witnessing this has made me think a lot about Ana Claire's birth family, but especially her birth mother and what her circumstances were that she had to give up this precious baby girl that is now my baby girl. This young girl gave this family my friend a precious miracle. If you are reading this please pray for her and this family.
I would also like to ask you to pray for my dad. He has been ill for several months now. He will be having surgery the day after Easter. We hope that this will alleviate some of his health problems. I will update you on my dad later. Thank you ahead of time for all the prayers.

The photos above are from a couple of weeks ago when it was gorgeous outside.

WOW! What an amazing story. I will be lifting up prayers for all.

I can't imagine how emotional this must be for you...but what a wonderful experience that you got to be a part of and see both sides of. It's hard to imagine what the birth mother goes through. I know that God will bless her with strength. How wonderful that you could help her and that she felt she could confide in you.

Blessings!

I had a friend that gave her baby up for adoption and when she told me the story of when she had to take him back and give him away I just about bawled and she cried too. She thought what she was doing was for the best because she could not be able to provide for them. The agency she went through does counseling and she did an open adoption so sometimes she still gets to see him but really it's up to the adoptive parents to allow that.

It truly is hard for both sides and I don't know how they can do it. I almost gave Bella up when we were in a bad situation but gosh after I had her, there was no way. I'm too weak I guess or else God wanted us to keep her. hehe

I pray for your dad that he gets better. Prayer is very strong and power of it is very amazing!

Absolutely love the photos, love the where's the fire one LOL

I will definitely be praying for all of them. I'll also keep your dad in my prayers. The pictures of all the kids are so cute. It's so obvious that your boys and their friends adore Ana Claire!

Praying for your Grandmother and Father. I'm sorry this is such a difficult time.

Love those boots on Mackenze and Ana Claire! Today Luci wore her red shoes to church (they *did* match her outfit!) and I thought of A.C.
