Day 2 of Preschool

I wish she could keep this smile on her face when she gets out of the car.

First of all I want to thank everyone for the comments and emails. It was nice to hear others experiences and advice.
Yesterday started off by Ana Claire telling me she didn't know if she wanted to go to school. I explained to her that her day would be different since the weather was pretty she should go straight to her classroom instead of the rain room. I also told her that after I picked her up from school we would go to the library so she would have something to look forward to. I am happy to say that there was no kicking or screaming, only tears. The tears still broke my heart. When her teacher brought her out to the car she told me that it was a little rocky at first but she settled down pretty quick and was fine the rest of the day. She goes back tomorrow. We will see how she does. I think if she gives it a chance she will love it.

I had a feeling she would do great. Just think, that was a huge improvement from day one to day two! With each day she attends, the surroundings, people, routines will all become familiar and secure. I am so proud of her!

I can tell you that the teacher was pulling Elijah (my red head) off my leg last year still in October, but somehow after lots of tears from me it all clicked for him around the end of November ... So stick it out and know that it will get better ...

I bribed w/ trips to target, dollar tree, snacks in car when I picked him up, and ate lots of lunches w/ him those first couple of weeks ...
